These are outstanding boots and with the replacement new G4 Powerlock are now $799 these are an outstanding bargain. Simms are regarded by many as the best wading boot around. These are still outstanding boots that should last for years. 

This G4 Pro wading boot has just been superseded by a new G4 boot the G4 Powerlock. 

The superseded G4 was most technically advanced boot that Simms had ever made and it is still a great boot. Now we have the new ones in stock the old ones can go. The upper has a highly abrasion resistant textile mesh on the upper with a vacuum moulded TPU welded along the sidewall for added durability. The 3D rubber moulded toes cap provides excellent toe protection for when you’re walking down steep hills or accidentally kicking rocks, along with a 3D moulded TPU heel clip to really keep your ankle in place. The lacing comes together with high strength eyelets and speed hooks on the upper to lock your heel into position for a comfortable day on the river. Neoprene and closed cell foam liners on the ankle keep things plush with minimal water absorption. The sole of this boot is what takes it to another level. First up is the dual density midsole construction. This is comprised of a softer density material in the middle for comfort with a higher density compound on the sides for stability and durability. The Vibram IdroGrip outsole has unique stainless steel embedded cleat receptacles for the Simms G4 Alumbite & Hardbite cleats to screw into and lock in for good, or until you want to switch them out for new ones. These boots were absolutely best in class, but now there is the G4 Powerlock.

These wading boot laces will never break. If they do within 5 years of purchase we will replace them for FREE. Made exclusively for Essential Flyfisher using Dyneema, the world's strongest fibre - as used in bullet proof vests, racing yachts and winching lines. Laces have metal aglet ends for easy threading. Woven with 27 strands they have no outer coating to disintegrate as you often see in laces. Rated at 750 kg breaking strain they will most likely outlast your boots. At first use they are a little stiff, and this is due to the manufacturing process, however they soon become supple. Best if double knotted as Dyneema is slippery. Mike Stevens has had one pair for 5 years and they have shown no sign of wear or breaking down.

These will suit most wading boots. Simms G4 need the long laces, so please measure your old laces before ordering.
