Tasmania’s closed borders have put an end to Peter’s International and Mainland casting school programs as well as his mainland guided fishing bookings for the time being.
Peter sees this as a wonderful opportunity to spend time working with local anglers on their casting skills as well as providing cost effective guided fishing dates for local anglers.
From the novice who wants to learn fly fishing correctly from the start - to the experienced angler that will surely benefit from Peter’s 26 years as one of Tasmania’s best known trout guides and competition anglers- there is a lot to be gained from a session or two with Peter.
Fly Casting Tuition – Burnie, Devonport, Cressy and Hobart venues
Private Tuition
Private 1:1 or 1:2 lessons are undoubtedly the best way for you to develop your casting skills. In this setting Peter works more like an ongoing personal trainer to you. Individually crafted practice drills that are specific to your needs. Full course notes and follow up are provided. Come on your own or bring a fishing friend with you to reduce the price.
Cost for a comprehensive 3 hr lesson is $300/1 or $220 ea if you bring a friend.
Small Group Tuition
Full day novice ‘Learn to Fly Fish’ and Intermediate/Advanced ‘Casting and Fishing skills’ are offered on weekends. These classes are for small groups of 4 – 6 anglers and are held at Peter’s Fly Fishing Lodge in Cressy between 10 am to 4 pm on Saturdays.
Cost is $180 ea
Guided Fishing Days – Lowland and Highland Lakes
Book a day or two with Peter to learn about your local waters from a Guides perspective. Learn where to fish, when and how to fish. Upskilling your casting techniques on the day will add more value to this unique offer. Don’t miss out – only limited week days are offered.
Cost is $390 ea based on 2 anglers. $750 for a single angler.
