Save the date - Tuesday 27th June, 7pm
There is always something interesting happening at Essential Flyfisher. This month - Tuesday 27th June we have one of Australasia's biggest fly fishing importer/distributor doing a presentation on some of the World's best fly fishing products.

Rene Vaz from 'The Manic Tackle Project' is coming to Launceston.
Rene is a past New Zealand Fly Fishing Champion and NZ team member, he is an FFF and STANIC Fly Casting Instructor, holds an Masters Degree with Honours in Fisheries Biology and Management and has worked for and advised a number of tackle companies throughout the globe.

The Manic Tackle Project distribute the following products in Australia and New Zealand.
Simms, Lamson Waterworks Reels, Scott Fly Rods, Airflo Fly Lines, Loon and others.

Things to be won - so come along.

Simms made the first breathable waders using Gortex and are regarded as the best in the business. There are many other products such as vests, boots, bags and more. Rene will give you a peek at what is new and an overview of the World's best products.

Lamson and Waterworks have been around for many years and make some or the coolest reels on the market. Their reels are light, robust and affordable. Come along and check them out.

One of the big mysteries of fly fishing are the lines. Airflo make a beautiful range of lines from sinking to floating, salt and freshwater. Long regarded by competition fishing, the sinking range of lines have no equal. There would barely be a competition angler anywhere in the world that doesn't have a bag full of Airflo lines.
More recently the floating range has been expanded - with many lines developed to suit Tasmanian and New Zealand conditions.
It will be well worth your while coming along just to hear Rene talk about flylines. After all he is a qualified casting instructor.

Scott are arguably one of the world's most advanced manufacturer of performance fly rods, but not only are they technically competent at making great rods, the guys at Scott understand what it takes to make a great rod - in short they get it. And despite all of the marketing hoopla you might read from many of the other rod companies, Scott are in a league of their own. Scott make fly rods and that's it; no spinning rods, no golf shafts, just the best range of fly rods on the planet. From nice little trout rods, to exceptional double handers or the brutally agressive saltwater fly rods. Check out their cool video - click here.
