Sunday 10 April - Essential Flyfisher reveals the next revolution in Sage rods for the first time outside USA.
Enjoy BBQ lunch and exclusive fishing at a private fishery be the first to cast the SAGE R8 in Australia. These rods are the latest revolution from Sage.
PROGRAM
10-11am: Welcome
11:30: Sage Ambassadors will give a rundown and short history on the development of this rod.
12-2pm: Try a SAGE R8 rod for yourself.
3pm: Finish
12-3pm: Enjoy shore based fishing for wild trout in the private lake. Fly fishing only. Catch and release. Please bring your own gear to fish with - SAGE rods please. R8s will not be available to fish with, but we would love you to cast them and you can order on the day.
The private fishery location will be announced after you book, but it is about 1 hour 20 minutes from both Launceston and Hobart.
Numbers are very limited. Cost is $50 per person - prepaid only. Non fishing/casting partners are welcome and free - and yes we will supply lunch for them too.
There may even be a Gin and Tonic provided by the Winter Gin Company if you are lucky. Check out Tasmania's highest Gin and Whisky Distillery at: https://wintergin.com.au/
Sage R8 will be available in 3wt - 9wt. On hand to try will be 4wt - 6wt.
